Gear Innovations LLC was founded in 1998 and from its outset concentrated on development and testing of a new non-involute gear tooth form which analytically was and remains substantially superior to the involute curve with respect to power density and other important gear drive system performance indices.

The Technology was developed as Convoloid™ gearing and the progress of increased performance has been documented by moving to Convoloid2, the second general advancement, and presently the third refinement is in development.

As part of its business credo Gear Innovations has been and will continue to improve the Technology to new levels of power density through sophisticated design improvements while using the latest and most comprehensive software to analyze gear tooth stresses and surface condition factors critical to gear drive system success in the field.
